Dear Fenicci's Customer:

Thank you for dining with us today. As our locals know, you have stepped into a restaurant that is deeply embedded in the history of Hershey. Since 1935, under the DeAngelis name, the doors to the restaurant have been open for great food and fun times with family and friends. Mr. Reese actually had one of his first candy factories in the basement of this very building and our Veranda Room was Hershey's most respected Jewelry Store, Erwin's, until 1988.

I am very happy that we are able to operate the restaurant in the tradition of the two great families that have previously owned it, the DeAngelis and the Fenice families. Tradition is very important to this restaurant that holds the distinction of “The oldest freestanding restaurant in Hershey, since 1935”. We use all of the original recipes that were brought over from Italy to make our sauces. I also think that we have one of the best homemade Lasagnas, except for Moms! During the past 8 years that I have been in Hershey, I have been enjoying the upside-down pizza (also an original recipe) with family, friends and my daughter Melissa, a 9 th grade student in the Derry Township School District. I have also become very good friends with Joan, Paul, Jeff, Linda, their sons and Beth and I want to express my sincere gratitude to them for allowing me to purchase the restaurant and to be part of the continuing tradition.

“THE SAUCE AND THE PIZZA WILL NOT CHANGE!”

And it has not! However we continue to keep it exciting at Fenicci's with new events all of the time. We are now open for lunch Monday- Friday and feature some of the restaurants original items like the DeAngelis Meatball Sub and, of course, our famous Upside Down Pizza, the first pizza ever introduced into Hershey in 1947. Music on Friday and Saturday Nights has become a regular event, featuring local artists. Our private catering, both on and off premise has been an exciting new addition to our offerings as well as the French Doors on our dining room for private parties.

Just to give you a little background on myself, I came to the area as the General Manager of the Marriott, now the Sheraton Hotel. Hospitality, good friends, family, and delicious food are my passions. Hershey and Penn State Children‘s Hospital, especially Children's Miracle Network, are my other great passions. Over the past 8 years, we were able to raise over $400,000 to help the hospital and the kids of our community. Ask me one day about the Guinness World Record I hold for the most roller coasters traveled in 24 hours where all of the proceeds benefited CMN!

It is really a great honor and pleasure to welcome you into our dining room. We really don't look at this as a restaurant but an extension of our home to you…sort of a reality TV show in the walls of a restaurant. So kick back, laugh, relax and enjoy dinner in our house tonight!

Sincerely,

Phil
